LOST

Lost is an American television series created by Jeffrey Liber, J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof. The series follows the lives of various individuals and groups of people, most importantly the survivors of the crash of a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney and Los Angeless, on a mysterious tropical island. The series, which is divided in six seasons, had an enormous exit with millions of followers around the world.

The first season starts with a plane accident, lots of dead and a group of survivors who had to work together to stay alive. That group is immediately attacked by a number of mysterious entities, including a mass of black smoke “The Monster” and people known as “The Others”. Meanwhile, flashbacks, of each one of the protagonists, reveal their life after the plane crash.
In the second continues the problem between the survivors and The Others. New characters are introduced, who were survivors of the tail-section and they were in other neighbor island. Moreover, they discover a station built by Dharma Initiative, a scientific organization that was conducting experiments on the island decades earlier. In that station was a man, Desmon, who arrived here two years ago. As the truth about the mysterious Others begins to unfold, one of the crash survivors betrays the other castaways, and the cause of the plane crash is revealed.
In the third season, the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 discover more about The Others and their long history on the island. The Others start to capture survivors and submit them to experiments. Finally, the survivors make contact with a rescue team.
In the fourth season the survivors try to make a deal with the rescue team, who arrive on a freighter and come to the island with dangerous intentions and without concern for the survivors. Meanwhile, flashforwards reveal the future actions of the Oceanic Six, a group of survivors who have escaped the island and attempted to resume their normal lives.
The fifth season follows two timelines. The first continues the original timeline, with the six survivors who left the island, and the second takes place on the island at year 1974 where the survivor who didn’t escaped are working with the Dharma Initiative. After three years the Oceana Six decide return to the island to save their friends.
The sixth season is divides in two lines, the first the present day of inhabitants of the island and the second shows their life if the plane had never crashed. In the final episodes, flashback shows the origins of the island's power and of the conflict between Jacob and the Man in Black, who are revealed to be twin brothers. One survivor becomes the successor to Jacob as caretaker of the island, and kills the Man in Black in a final showdown, with the island at stake. A small handful of survivors escape on the Ajira plane, the plane with whom they backed. A few survivors return home and others live happily on the island. The series finale reveals that the flash-sideways timeline was actually a form of limbo, where the survivors were reunited after they had all died.

Maroon 5

Well, today I am going to talk about Maroon 5, one of my favorites bands because of their music and their attitude.
It's an American band rock from Los Angeles formed for five people: Adam Levine (vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Jesse Carmichael (keyboardist), Mickey Madden (bass guitarist), Ryan Dusick (drummer) and James Valentine (guitarist). The first four formed a garage band called Kara's Flower while they were in high school in1995. They released one album un 1997 but it didn't have too much exit. Later, in 2001 James Valentine joined to the band and they changed their name to Maroon 5. The following years they released their debut album Song About Jane with hit singles like "She will be loved" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIjVuRTm-dc , it also enjoyed major chart success, going gold, platinum, and triple platinum in many countries around the world.
The band toured extensively throughout 2003-2005. Thanks to Song About Jane the band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. In 2007 they released their second album It Won't Be Soon Before Long, which contained singles like "I won't go home without you" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlMEGBsw6j8
The last studio album of the band was released in the U.S. on September 21, 2010 with the name of Hands All Over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g6g2mvItp4 .
The band has sold over 10 million albums in the United States and nearly 15 million worldwide since debuting in 2002.

Juno

Today I've seen the film Juno for third time. Juno is a teenager who discovers she is pregnant by her friend Paulie. She tries to have an abortion but she can't and decides to give her baby to a couple. Actually, she gives the baby only to the girl, Vanessa, because along the film her husband discovers he doesn't want babies and he wants to be a rock star. I really like that film, written by Diablo Cody, because Juno, Ellen Page, acts very good and the story is told of a way very real and at the same time funny.
