Maroon 5

Well, today I am going to talk about Maroon 5, one of my favorites bands because of their music and their attitude.
 It's an American band rock from Los Angeles formed for five people: Adam Levine (vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Jesse Carmichael (keyboardist), Mickey Madden (bass guitarist), Ryan Dusick (drummer) and James Valentine (guitarist). The first four formed a garage band called Kara's Flower while they were in high school in1995. They released one album un 1997 but it didn't have too much exit. Later, in 2001 James Valentine joined to the band and they changed their name to Maroon 5. The following years they released their debut album Song About Jane with hit singles like "She will be loved" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIjVuRTm-dc , it also enjoyed major chart success, going gold, platinum, and triple platinum in many countries around the world.
The band toured extensively throughout 2003-2005. Thanks to Song About Jane the band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. The last studio album of the band was released in the U.S. on September 21, 2010 with the name of Hands All Over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g6g2mvItp4 .
The band has sold over 10 million albums in the United States and nearly 15 million worldwide since debuting in 2002.
